Abafana Bes’thende have drawn 1-1 to Royal Eagles tonight at King Zwelethini Stadium.

The beginning of the match started off with Arrows showing their intentions of a win, when in the first two minutes Mkhize had a decent shot at goals which just carried over the crossbars. The team continued to dominate play for another 5 minutes until Royal Eagles decided to let them know that they were at the stadium to play! After two free kicks were awarded to them 15m from goal, one of which was canonned at the goals and flipped away by Mbaeva, Royal Eagles decided to make it known they were in the game.

The following 10 minutes saw both sides making good use of posession and getting up to opposition goals , retaining the ball and making sure that they got all out of what they had. A couple of shots at goal were had, but none that looked at getting into the net.

Sitole came off in the 38th minute in a tactical move that saw Hotto take to the field. Almost stright away his pace up the left hand side of the field made a difference, and he took the ball up on two occasions.

The break through that saw Abafana Bes’tende score off the boot of Mngwengwe just minutes before the end of the first half. The goal, also saw Royal Eagles reduced to 10 men after Mahlasela received a red card for attempting to save the goal with his hands.

Second half gets underway with Masaole just missing an oportunity to take the score up again, his attempt going left of the goals, with only the goal-keeper to beat.

The game was packed with tension, with both teams eager to score. Both having a clear game plan and sticking to it.

After a barrage of play, Royal Eagles managed an equaliser from Maponyane which took the whole tempo of the game to another level.

The physical side of the game increased, and both sides pushed hard at their opoonents goals to try and get the second goal in. Mbaeva did well at one stage to stop Royal Eagles at scoring after a tense minutes play that saw them try and get the ball in the net twice.

The real winners were the fans, who experienced a game of football of the highest quality. With both teams turning up on the night and displaying some amazing skill.
