Competition: Nedbank Cup
Date: Saturday ,11 April 2015
Venue: Peter Mokaba Stdm
Kick-off: 15:00pm

Abafana Bes’thende have bowed out of the Nedbank Cup at the last 8 stage to SuperSport United tonight in Polokwane.

The game was an entertaining one with many pundits claiming that Lamontville Golden Arrows looked like the PSL team of the night with their strong and positive play on the park.

The first half was a torrid battle with no score being chalked up after the first 45 minutes. It was such a defensive game in the half for both teams that the game seemed to flow from goal to goal as each team attempted to make a break through in scoring.

It was only in the 71st minute of the second half that Grobler had the break-through for SuperSport United after slotting the ball past Mbaeva with a right footed shot. This was after the stalemate continued to this point after the break.

Lamontville Golden Arrows never gave up the fight however, and continued to push up to the SuperSport box and try and equalise. The defence from SuperSport however was too strong and the visiting team were denied on a number of occasion by Williams.

All attention will now go back to the Automatic Promotion campaign by Shaun Bartlett and the team. They will play their 4th consecutive away game against Maluti FET College on Saturday 18th April at 15h00
