In a tough PSL fixture at Bidvest Stadium tonight, we lost 3-0 to a determined Clever Boys side who held us on every play we threw at them.

It was not our night to shine and from a tough start where we defended from early on in the first half, things would just not work out for us. The opposition put pressure on our defence often and we battled to build any promising attacking plays being on the back foot.

Unfortunately, in the 30th minute an attacking play saw Mathiane handle the ball in the box resulting in a penalty which Mhango converted for the home side, putting them into the lead for the half.

The second half was continual pressure from Bidvest Wits who played up into our last third looking to score at every opportunity possible. This tested our defence and in the 66th minute a long range shot from Ngele beat Gumede and gave the hosts a 2 goal lead.

Three minutes later Mhango fed Ngele in the box after a misfield from Mzava. Ngele made no mistake in taking his brace for the night and giving the home side a 3-0 lead.

Nothing we threw at Wits would work tonight, and we had shots at goal from Sibeko, Phiri and a number of other players, but the finishing was just not there for us.

Our spirit was not broken and the game ended on a shot at goal from Phiri.

The team return to Durban and prepare for Saturdays game against Ajax Cape Town at Princess Magogo Stadium at 15h00.
