MATCH PREVIEW - GOLDEN ARROWS V BLACK ACES 12.11.2010
Golden Arrows will look to build momentum in the Absa Premiership by taking three points from their home game against Black Aces at the Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday afternoon, kick-off at 15h30.
Arrows moved up to an impressive fouth place on the table after claiming a 1-0 win away to bottom-of-the-log Moroka Swallows in midweek.
Abafana Bes’thende will be hoping that a second successive game against a lower-placed team (Aces are third from last on the log) will bring another three point haul.
Black Aces have lost just one of their last four league matches but still find themselves down in 14th place on five points after a struggling start to the season.
Nonetheless, AmaZayoni came back from a goal down in midweek to claim a 1-1 draw with in-form Bidvest Wits.
In head-to-head stats, Arrows and Aces have met in just two league games.
The encounters took place last season. The first match, in Witbank, ended in a goalless draw. The return game in Durban saw Arrows claim a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Thanduyise Khuboni and Njabulo Manqana.
Arrows’ line-up from their 1-0 win away to Swallows: Da Rocha, Zwane, Musonda, Bilankulu, Sangweni, Khuboni, Duiker, Manqana, (Zothwane 83’) Shange, (Mlotshwa 66’) Nkosi, Gabuza.
Aces’ line-up from their 1-1 draw at home to Wits: Onyango; Dabi (Killas 19’), October, Musasa, Henyekane; Biyela, Twala (Tipa 13’), Masondo, Mbatha; Maleka, Ramulondi (Aka 24’).
