Reserves Results 04 and 05 February 05.02.2012 On Saturday, the Reserves faced their toughest opponents to date against Bush Bucks. It was a physically tough game from the first whistle, with Bush Bucks coming out guns blazing! This saw the Reserves on the back foot from the offset and forced some early tactical changes which included making two substitutions in the first twenty minutes of the game.
Bush Bucks scored two quick goals in the first half, the first off a penalty and the second a deflection. Arrows fought back and managed to score one goal in the half bringing the score to 1-2 against them at the half time whistle.
This made Bush Bucks change their game plan and they played a defensive game for the remainder of the game. From the 35th minute of the first half to the final whistle, their instruction from the bench was clearly to defend their lead. Arrows played hard game, but nothing they did broke the defence of Bush Bucks and unfortunately there was no score in the second half of the match an at final whistle the score remained 1-2 in Bush Bucks favour.
On Sunday 5th February, the Reserves played another game against Benfica. They fared much better in this encounter and redeemed themselves by winning the game 4-0.
