INJURY UPDATE 05.04.2012 Right winger Philani Shange and central defender
Musa Bilankulu have both been ruled out of action for some time due to
injuries.
Philani was involved in an incident against Maritzburg United
while playing in the nedbank cup game on the 31st March at Princess Magogo
Stadium. He rolled over his ankle after a collision with Kurt Lentjies and
the force of the fall has caused a Hairline Fracture on the lateral
Malleolus. He is expected to be in a moonboot for 3 to 4 weeks after which
urther assessments will be carried out.
Musa Bilankulu was also
injured in the line of duty during a league game against Kaizer Chiefs in
Durban at the Moses Madhiba Stadium on 28th March.In an attempt to clear the
ball, he kicked an opposing players foot and in the process managed to cause
an Avulsion fracture of the Sesamoid bone (which is the bone under the big
toe). Musa has been ruled out for 3 to 4 weeks as well.
Although the
are two big blows for Arrows, there is positive news as well. Robyn Johannes,
Siyanda Zwane and Joseph Musonda have all started rehabilitation with the
team Physio. Musonda has been out of action for 8 weeks due to a fractured
ankle bone sustained whilst playing against Ivory Coast in the Afcon
Final.
Robyn Johannes picked up a groin injury in a league game against
Santos, and is currently in the final stages of his rehab stages and should
be back at official team training at the beginning of next
week.
Siyanda Zwane was ruled out two weeks ago with a knee injury and is
also in his final stages o rehab with the physiotherapist. He is also
expected to be back at training next week.
