U15 AND U17 2012/2013 SEASON KICKS OFF! 30.04.2012
Yesterday our Junior teams started their 2012/2013 Season. Both of these age groups have seen teams merged into one single team which was comprised by last years U15A,U15B,U17A and U17B teams.
This year Only 1 team is represented in both these age-groups. Most of the U15's from last year have been promoted to U17's, whilst the U17's have been promoted to the Reserve team. The U15's came third last year and the U 17's were placed first last season. Arrow's supporters should expect fit, fast, and furious players given the hard training they have done over the past 3weeks.
Junior teams had a 3 week pre-season training that included basics; such as heading, chesting, volleys, passing, and receiving, emphasis was also focused on sessions such as 2v2, 4v4, 5v5, and 11v11. During pre-season Seven friendly games were played by the teams, to give players chances to get match fit and to also give the coaches a chance to see if the players were ready for the season.
Today our U15 team played against Virginia and our U17 team played against Stella. Our U15 lost against virginia 2-1 whilst our U17 team won their game 2-0. Tomorrow Tuesday 01 May 2012 both teams are scheduled to play their 2nd game of the season. U15 vs Newlands at john dory and our U17 vs Juventus at Crusaders.
