Golden Arrows reserve side were crowned MDC champions after a miraculous come-from-behind victory to beat Free Stars Stars in the last game of the Multichoice Diski Challenge at Nike Centre in Soweto.

Arrows were frustrated for the large part of the game. They should have taken an early lead as Sbusiso Sibeko missed two great chances in the second half with keeper to beat but he fluffed them all.

Free State Stars drew the first blood when Golden Arrows couldn’t deal with a long thrown in the box and Sam Mnguni was on hand to tuck it away.

The game then turned on its head for Free State Stars when Golden Arrows introduced the Parusnath brothers who changed the whole complexion of the game in their favour.

Kaleb Parusnath leveled the scoring in the last ten minutes and when all thought it will end in the draw, Arrows scored at the death as Sibiya tucked it away to win it for Abafana Bes’thende.

As part of the prize, the team will take a trip to Holland where they play 3 friendly matches.
