Our Diski side has been beaten by Highland North FC in their Multichoice Diski game at Makulomg Stadium this afternoon.

The first half was a tough battle from both sides who looked to create situations to open the scoring.we threatened the Oppositions goal early on in the half,off a set move, but were unable to convert the opportunity. The remainder of the half was a back and forth fight, with both teams using possession to play into the opposition last 3rd. They went into the change rooms with no score on the board and returned for an action packed second half.

The second stanza looked as if it was going to be a similar affair, but 15 minutes into the half the home side opened the scoring when Mosopa put the goal in the back of the net. Shortly afterwards he got his brace, giving the home side a 2-0 advantage until Andile Fikizolo managed to pull one back against the hosts.

The Lions of the North were on form today, and sealed the game after Thabotha scored the third goal for them to secure the match.

The side will travel home and have a weeks break before they face Ajax Cape Town next Sunday 16 October at King Zwelithini Stadium. We would love you to come out in support for the side, with the game starting at 10am.
