The Diski side have had a disappointing return to the field, losing 3-0 to a determined Maritzburg United in the Derby weekend game at Sinaba Stadium this afternoon.

The game was a tough one, with the teams sharing an equal amount of ball possession, however The Team of Choice were able to create more opportunities then us and eventually won the game 3-0.

The side showed periods of promising play with Sibeko, Hlongwane and replacenent Magubane having opportunities but the finishing was just not there today. The players just could not find that edge and the chances needed to get into the game.

After leading 1-0 at the break, Maritzburg took advantage in the second half when Sibeko was being attended to off field and found the back of the net for the second time, with us trying to cover the gaps being a man down. Their third came in extra time as a mistake from Zitha, trying to dribble the ball at the back saw the Maritzburg striker win the ball off him and play into a one on one situation with Goss. He came out to defend, and they slotted it in for the final play of the game.

The team and coaches have just one week to prepare for their next game against Free State Stars at Dr. Molemela Stadium on Sunday 22nd February, that game too will be televised live on SS4, game kicks off at 12:00
