We secured a point on the road tonight as we played to a draw against Orlando Pirates in Soweto.
The first half of play saw both sides playing a more subdued game than normal, with the pace of play not being up to the tempo that we normally see on the field.
We had an opportunity to breaking the deadlock just five minutes before the break as Sibiya curled a free kick at target, however the attempt came off the upright.
Just minutes later Hotto blasted a chance for the home side over the crossbar off a cut-back pass from Makhubela.
The second half saw a more entertaining 45 minutes of play. Pirates attacked from the first whistle after the break and created a number of scoring chances that saw us defending with some determination to deny the home side.
We did create some chances, with Mmodi once again doing well on the ball, and the introduction of Magawana, Cele and Mtshali injected some fresh play for us but we were just not able to convert the few chances we had.
