Gallants coach Dan Malesela rang the changes after the loss to Kaizer Chiefs, as Washington Arubi started between the sticks while Letsie Koapeng got a start upfront.
Malesela’s charges came into the clash winless in their last six matches, while the home side were looking to bounce back from their surprise defeat to Baroka on Wednesday.
Charges were few and far in between in the opening period of the first, but that came as no surprise as Gallants have only scored one goal in their last six matches.
That proved to be the issue for the rest of the first half as both goalkeepers barely had a save to make in the opening 45 minutes, with the sides heading to the break all square.
Arrows responded with their first chance 10 minutes into the second half, with Nqobeko Dlaimini making way for Bafana Bafana international Pule Mmodi.
Gallants responded with a change of their own as Koapeng was withdrawn for Sibusiso Sibeko, who was still searching for his first goal of the season.
Unfortunately, neither side were able to find a goal in the latter parts of the second half despite both sides needing a win to climb up the standings.
As a result, Arrows fail to move up to eighth spots and remain in ninth, four points ahead of Gallants who find themself in 10th spot with two games left of the season..
