It’s WAFA WAFA time and we will be kicking off the 2021/22 season with an MTN8 quarter final match against SuperSport United tomorrow afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium. Kick-off is set for 15h00, with the game being televised on Supersport and SABC 1

After a successful pre-season, Coach Lehlohonolo Seema is confident ahead of the season and stated “There’s one thing we’re looking at this season… [that one thing] is to challenge this league and push as far as we can, if the opportunity presents itself like this weekend let’s take a trophy or two and try to reward the Chairlady.”

The Coach went on to state that his Technical Team as well as the players have set high standards to reach this season. This is based on the performance of the squad last season and the belief that they can improve on the 2020/21 result.

While Matsatsantsa may be more confident due to them having won the MTN8 title twice in the last four years, their coach has stated that he fears his side may still be in pre-season mode rather than match fit.

He is expecting a tough game, based on the results from last season where we took 6 points from them in the Premiership competition.

We will be providing a ball-by-ball play on our social media platforms to keep you, our loyal supporters up to date if you are not able to watch on television.

Send your messages to the players ahead of the game, let them know the Green and Gold Army is behind them.
