Tomorrow afternoon we continue our Nedbank Cup journey as we host Platinum stars at the Princess Magogo stadium, for a 15h00 kick-off.

It has been an exciting competition for the team that started with a derby game against Maritzburg United on the 12th March. This was after a closely contested league game in which we beat The Team of Choice 1-0 only seven days earlier. Nobody expected us to win two on the trot against them, but we powered through with a 3-1 win against them to reach the last 16.

Again, we had a tough draw that saw us meet Mamelodi Sundowns. Another great contest away from home, in which we came away with a 1-0 win on the 8th April. This was a fantastic result and confidence booster in the Cup competition for us.

The draw for the quarter finals took place and we drew yet another PSL team, with our opponent being Platuinum Stars.

Dikwena have played both Amazulu and Baroka FC to progress to this stage. In their first round, they had a tough game againt Amazulu that saw five goals being scored in total. But they came away victors with a 3-2 win. They then drew Baroka in the Last16 and again, came away with a 1-0 win in the last minute of the game.

Historically, the teams are evenly pitted, and almost share the wins, draws and losses equally if one looks at the past results. The last time they played against each other in the Nedbank Cup in 2009, it was 1-1 at full time with Dikwena edging us out by a goal in extra time.

Saturdays game promises be to entertaining and exciting. We want to progess to the semi-finals and will be fighting for that. A good home support would assist in helping us achieve this and we urge you all to get behind the team at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Tickets are available at TicketPro (CNA,Jet,Edgars & Postnet), with Adults being R40 and children u12 being R15.

Lets fill the stadium in green and gold support on Saturday!
