Mdu is a highly qualified and experienced sport scientist with a PhD in Sport Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. With a strong foundation in athletic development and football specific conditioning, he holds certifications in Speed and Agility Conditioning, as well as Level 1 & 2 qualifications in Performance and Opposition Analysis from the Professional Football Scouts Association (PFSA). Additionally, he is a CAF D Coaching License holder, further complementing his practical coaching credentials.
Over the course of his career, Mdu has worked with a number of teams, including the Sharks Academy, AmaZulu FC, UThongathi FC, and Dabeka Sporting FC. His roles have spanned both Strength & Conditioning, and Performance Analysis, where he has combined scientific training methods with data-driven insights to enhance athlete development.
Mdu brings a unique blend of academic expertise and field experience, making him a valuable asset to any high-performance sports environment.
