Abafana Bes’thende played to a goalless draw against Milano FC at chatsworth today.
Neither side was dominant around the pitch, each managing to counteract each others game strategy successfully enough to ensure that the ball never found the back of the net at all.
Golden arrows had a number of scoring opportunities during the game however were not able to capitalise on them. The team showed a great deal of confidence on the park and once they settle in to the season, they are sure to score more regularly.
The debut by Mkihze as a new striker for the durban side has been a step in strengthening the attack of the side and shaun bartlett is confident that this signing will bear fruit soon.
The team has a two week break before their next fixture and the technical staff will have a lot to build on after these first two NFD fixtures.
