Our Diski ‘Sthendes have drawn their first game this year 0-0 against Jomo Cosmos at ikamva stadium in Cape Town.

The game was a midfield battle with both teams taking the ball up and trying to create scoring opportunities to get the win and 3 points in a game that was physical from all the players. Hlongwane, Sibeko, S.Parusnath and S.Dlamini did well to get the ball up as often as possible, however both good defending and lack of finishing denied the team any opportunity to get the ball in the back of the net.

Cosmos countered well, giving Goss a number of attempts to deal with, but none looked to be threatening. It was seldom that they broke our defence line,as the team managed to close them down well, and forcing them to change their game plan in order to get the ball into our last 3rd.

After the long break, this game will have the players getting back into the zone and they will prepare this week for their Sunday fixture next weekend against Chippa United at Wolfson Stadium.
