The team held out to secure a one goal win over SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium tonight in the DStv Premiership.

The home side had an opportunity to take the lead in the first 10 minutes, however an on form Mlungwana denied them the opportunity in what would be the first of many for our keeper.

After settling into the game and creating space and opportunity, Mmodi had a shot at goal in the 16th minute. the point blank chance however was straight into Chigova’s gloves.

This ignited some spirit on the turf an we ended up fighting back and scoring in the 22nd minute after Mutizwa controlled the ball well up the middle and then passed left where Sibiya struck and scored.

SuperSport fought back hard in the reminder of the half and had 2 attempts from range that were beautifully saved by Mlungwana.

The second half was a tough one that saw us on the defence more than attack. Once again Mlungwana did well to keep a clean sheet, frustrating the home side in the process.

We held out for the win and will travel to take on Chippa with some well earned confidence.
