We gained 3 vital points at home tonight against Baroka FC, with a 1-0 win at full time.
The team looked composed coming onto the field at the beginning of the game, and this translated well to their play as they used their possession wisely to push up into the opponents half.
Baroka did well to defend in the first half, and managed to close plays down before we complete our final passes, this did nothing to deter us from continuing to play an attacking game.
Chipezeze did well as their final defence, and when we were in range, managed to read and control the ball.
The second half of play was well executed from our side as well, with the boys once again looking at pushing up in a structured system.
We created chances for Venter and Lamola to score but once again, the visitors defence did well to clear.
We kept pressure on the visitors which paid off in the 70th minute with Shitolo scoring after being supplied the ball at the far post by Makhubela.
Baroka then added to their problems after Kambala was red carded and were just not able to get back into the game.
Mention must go to debutante Sifiso Mlungwana who played an outstanding game between the goals tonight. Making a number of incredible saves and keeping a clean sheet.
We have just over a week before we head off to face Polokwane City at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on the 19th of January
