We held Orlando Pirates to to a goalless draw tonight at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Understanding the pressure that was to come from the game with Pirates still being within a chance of a title race was half of our battle tonight on the pitch. The team did well to carry our the game plan and went toe to toe with the Soweto outfit.

20 minutes in Mlungwana displayed some great skills, denying Pule and showing the visitors that it was all business tonight.

In the first 40, we created some chances, but final passes let us down as we looked to go into the break with points on the board.

The second half was as quick as the first. Once again Mlungwana pulled out all the stops, denying Pirates the lead, and shortly afterwards it was our chance to be frustrated as Mutizwa was denied by the defence of Jele.

The teams answered each other in all aspects of the game tonight.

We were dealt a blow as we were denied a clear a penalty in the dying minutes of the game as Parusnath was taken down in the box. The refereee waved play on and the game went down to the wire, with both sides pushing for a win.

A deserved point at the end of the day and one that will keep us on our aim of a top 8 finish.

A big shout out to our support at the stadium tonight. Your voices did not go unheard. We thank you for your ongoing and loyal support.

We have a lengthy break now until we face Stellenbosch FC at Cape Town Stadium on the 22nd March.
